Journalism is the profession of writing or communicating, formally employed by publications and broadcasters, for the benefit of a particular community of people. The writer or journalist is expected to use facts to describe events, ideas, or issues that are relevant to the public. Journalists (also known as news analysts, reporters, and correspondents) gather information, and broadcast it so we remain informed about local, state, national, and international events.
Most of the time, journalists are expected to be responsible[4] and objective[5] in their analysis, and are supposed to refrain from personal biases or prejudices. However, this is one of the most debated of all journalistic values, and many today feel that objectivity is a myth.[6]
Grade The News, An American Website identified seven yardsticks on the basis of which it judges the standards of some local media house's news quality. These yardsticks are newsworthiness, context, explanation, local relevance, civic contribution, enterprise and fairness.[7]
Today this idea has been lost, Most major news organizations have been bought and tainted by loons with bogus ideas, with hopes to decide the fate of this country and it's people. Basically they are trying to overthrow the basic values of this country with there own. Examples are ABC, NBC, CBS, plus printed media. Before Cable TV and the Internet, there was the top three broadcast channels, there was PBS and a few Independents but the top three controlled what you saw, read, and how you thought, what you bought, and ate, they had the POWER. Today that has changed, and they will never get over that fact, people have many ways to stay informed, and most smart people stay away from them. They have figured out what these news organizations have to offer is false, biased, and DO NOT REFLECT the actual events of the country and world. They are trying to influence you to believe what they believe or achieve there goals,. Instead of competing to get your viewership back, they have decided to misuse US Constitution and the right of Freedom of Speech to spew there ideas, falsehoods in hopes of convincing you what is right and wrong.
Look what’s going on today, the unfairness of reporting during the elections. Why do they want Obama to WIN,? What do they hope gain? Whatever it is it’s for there own personal gain. Not OURS !!
I purpose, the following:
1. People you do have a choice and the POWER, don't watch there broadcasts, don't read there printed media, stay away from there web sites, send comment after comment to their editors stating until you are fair, accurate, until they follow normal standards that is expected, your not going to waste time viewing their filth.
2. All the broadcast station and printed media have sponsors, people and organizations that want your money and for you to buy there products or listen to there ideas and opinions. Write them; let them know you have interest in there products or ideas. You will not waste your money, there products must be as bad as the advertizing medium that they bought time or space on. There are plenty of alternatives and other options.
3. I did and many others take and sign a loyalty oath which made us legality accountable for our actions and what we said. Military does, doctors, lawyers, politicians as well, but they routinely break there’s and get away with it.
I want to see a Truth in Journalism Law and Oath. Verbal and Written Oath making these Journalist legally bound and accountable. I do not want to infringe on out Freedom of Speech Laws, and never would, but I do want to see that News Organizations that are suppose to inform us do so true fully with all the facts and just the facts, not bits and piece of there own fantasy. No falsehoods, No Bias, or Favoritism. Also when they do interviews, the entire interview is presented. Not bit and pieces that totally change the meaning or reflect some other then the true meaning. Look at what was done to President Bush. Totally Illegal and they got away with it.
